This pearl necklace is a perfect memento of the Baptism of an older child or teenager and could be used multiple times in families with the addition of other birthstones. It is made of hand-knotted, semi-round freshwater pearls, a symbol of purity, which are approximately 4-5mm in size. It closes with a small sterling silver heart clasp which symbolizes the love that surrounds the baptised. Hanging near the clasp is a small sterling shell, a symbol of Baptism.
