Faceted Labradorite, Silver, and Freshwater Pearl Necklace
This triple strand necklace was made to quietly reflect any light that comes near it. Its hand-knotted faceted labradorite tabs show a subtle luminescence or labradorescence, and their irregular shapes (5-10mm) dictated the plan of the piece and the use of the more crudely constructed antiqued sterling silver chain. The tiny (approximately 3-3.5mm) freshwater pearl nuggets are a striking white against the dark shine of the labradorite. The necklace is approximately 17 3/4" long and is gathered up by a small sterling silver toggle clasp. Original price: $69

Hand-knotted Hemp Necklace With Mother-of-Pearl and Silver
This delicate five strand necklace is hand-knotted on dark brown hemp. The mother-of-pearl "sequins" are vintage one hole buttons which were first produced in the 1920's. They are allowed to slip between the knots to give movement to the piece. There are also rounded sterling silver cube beads which produce flashes of light among the soft, earthy browns and taupes. The clasp is a five-strand sterling silver box clasp. The approximate length of the first strand is 20 1/2". The lengths of the strands gradually increase to approximately 23". When the necklace is closed, the distance from the clasp to the longest strand is approximately 11 1/2". The clasp is about 3/4" wide. Original price: $45
